This is a guide only and is not financial, tax or legal advice. It uses the published residential rates and may not reflect reliefs or surcharges that apply to your situation; rates and thresholds can change. Please contact us, or a conveyancer, to confirm the figure for your purchase.

What it does

Stamp duty is the number that surprises people, and it's the one they search for. This works it out properly for all three regimes - SDLT in England and Northern Ireland, LBTT in Scotland, LTT in Wales - with first-time buyer relief and the additional-property surcharge handled as options rather than fine print.

It's the sort of page people bookmark and send to their partner, which is a good thing for a site to be.

How it works

Place it on a page and it's live. It covers England, Wales and Scotland, with first-time-buyer and additional-property rates. The rates and bands are maintained for you as part of the service - you will never be the firm publishing last year's thresholds.

It calculates in the visitor's browser, so it's instant and private.

The "this is a guide, not advice" wording underneath is part of the component - the same on every site, and not editable in the builder. If your compliance process needs it worded differently, ask and we'll agree it for your site.
