Mortgage calculator

Visitors work out what a mortgage would actually cost them, and roughly what they could borrow, without leaving your site.

Page section, filed under Calculators & tools. For Financial services.

Live example. This is the real thing, running on this page exactly as it would on your site. Try it.

What do you want to work out?

The figures below are examples. Change them to yours - the answers update as you type.

Estimated monthly payment
-
On a repayment mortgage - capital and interest.
Total you would pay over the term
-

This calculator is a guide only and is not financial or mortgage advice. The figures are estimates - your actual payments, rate and how much you can borrow depend on a lender's assessment of your circumstances. Please contact us for advice tailored to you.

What it does

Someone puts in a property price, a deposit, a rate and a term, and sees the monthly repayment straight away. Change any number and the figure moves with it.

There's a second view for the question most people actually arrive with - roughly how much could I borrow - based on income and existing commitments.

It's the difference between a visitor who reads for forty seconds and one who stays for four minutes, and it's where a lot of enquiries start. It's presented plainly as a guide rather than advice, which is exactly the right footing for a regulated firm: it gets people interested, then it sends them to you for the real answer.

How it works

Drop it onto any page and it works. There's nothing to set up and nothing to keep current.

The sums run in the visitor's own browser, so results are instant and nothing they type is sent anywhere or stored.

The "this is a guide, not advice" wording underneath is part of the component - the same on every site, and not editable in the builder. If your compliance process needs it worded differently, ask and we'll agree it for your site.
